After pick up from your hotel, our Jeep will drive you to District 9. Although it is one of 12 Saigon’s districts, District 9’s scenery looks like the Mekong Delta, with canals and water coconut trees.
Upon arrival, you will have an escorted tour to visit the home garden of fashion designer Si Hoang, who is famous for his works and his huge collection of Ao Dai (the traditional outfit of Vietnamese women). At his home garden, there are 2 small museums to visit. One displays and preserves hundreds of Ao Dai from the 17th to 21st century, and the other one displays Ao Dai which used to belong to famous people in Vietnam, from politicians and business women to artists. Listening to the stories of Ao Dai will help you learn more about not only Vietnam traditional clothing, but also our local culture.
Have a cup of coffee with relaxing background music in the garden, and view the beautiful traditional architectural houses before driving back downtown.
